Long Beach Jordan High School

At Jordan, I teach Algebra AB, Algebra Development, and SFS.  In addition, I am one of the ACE (Advanced Manufacturing, Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) pathway teachers on campus.  This is my first year teaching at Jordan High School.

Background and Experience

Prior to teaching at Jordan, I worked at Whaley Middle School in the Compton USD.  I was privileged to stay home with my 3 kids for 3 years before I accepted the Compton USD position.  I taught at Arcadia High School in Arcadia USD for 2 years before having my 3rd child.  Still prior to Arcadia USD, I worked at a middle school in Santa Clarita and 2 years at Paramount High School within the Paramount USD. I started my teaching career as a substitute teacher for various districts (Paramount USD, Bellflower USD, and Alhambra USD).

I graduated from CSUDH May 2009 with my B.A. in Liberal Studies with a supplementary authorization to teach mathematics and multiple subject credential.  I earned my education specialist credential from National University spring of 2011.
