JMAC Community WBL Project
JMAC is currently working on a couple of projects with the Long Beach City Department of Parks, Recreation, and Marine. Students were invited to Houghton Park for a lesson in the Casting Audition process and to participate in all phases of production. Then students returned to view and participate in the casting auditions for the video short. Students are currently gearing up for filming the project, Buried Secrets, to be filmed on November 17th and 18th 2012. Students will be working as the following for the film: Best Boy Electric, Key Grip, Gaffer, Assistant Camera Operator 1, Assistant Camera Operator 2, Best Boy Grip, Director of Photography, and Sound. Our kids are not job shadowing..... our kids are actually working as the positions listed above. Our students are going to receive film credit, be able to put a professional piece in their portfolio, and the film will be entered in a variety of film festivals.
