Wellness Center Virtual Resources
About Us
The Wellness Center is a safe place on campus where students can drop in to receive social-emotional support during the school day. Students may drop in any time between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. A pass is required from a teacher, counselor or administrator. Feel free to come in during lunch or nutrition.
How does a student access the Wellness Center?
- Self-referral
- Request of a counselor
- Parent referral
- Administrative referral
- Teacher or staff referral
- Referral by friends
The Wellness Center can be of assistance and support for these concerns and more:
- Conflict Resolution
- Short term Individual/Group Counseling
- Stress Management
Coping Strategies The Wellness Center believes:
- Tools to manage stress at school, and home
- All students have dignity, worth, and the potential to succeed.
- Support from home, school and community enhances all students’ opportunity to reach their potential.
- All students have individual differences which need to be addressed by all personnel through the use of teamwork and collaboration.
Additional Services Offered by the Wellness Center:
- In-Service training for students, staff, and parents
- Referrals to agencies in the community
- Risk/threat assessments
- Information regarding social-emotional concerns that impact adolescents
