Welcome to my web page.

I have taught at Jordan High since 1990 and I am the Art Department Head.  I  finished my Masters in Art  at CSULB in May 2010. I teach three types of hands-on visual arts classes:   3-D Art, Ceramics and Drawing and Painting. The drawing and painting class is focused primarily on creating murals around the campus. The class is taught Period 7 through the Credit Recovery Program. Ceramics is a year long course that provides extensive training in different handbuilding techniques using clay. 3-D Art is a course that will give you many experiences using different materials. We will make many projects out of a variety of media, such as clay, plaster, paper, wire, fabric and more! Both classes will provide you with projects you never imagined you could make. Each of these classes meet the A-G requirements and include the state content standards.  Come join us!

I am the sponsor of the Mandala Club. The Mandala group meets Wednesdays at lunch and every other Friday after school. The Group is comprised of students who have experienced the loss of a loved one. We explore different art activites that help them to acknowledge their grief.
