I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a dual degree in Spanish and Chicano Studies.

My job consists of college applications, financial aid, scholarships, job searches, work permits, military information and ACT/SAT sign-ups.

My name is Karena Agis, I am the Career Developer at Jordan High School. I attended Cal State Dominguez Hills for a Major in English Literature.

As a Career Developer I provide career exploration, resume building, assist you in finding a job/ applying for jobs, and Interview preparation.

Need a Work Permit?

STEPS TO COMPLETE WORK PERMIT

1. Pick-up your Request To Work from the College & Career Center

2. Complete the required sections on the request form:

  • Student Section
  • Employer fills out their section, including Workers' Compensation Insurance 
  • Supervisor's signature
  • Parent Signature 
  • Social Security Number 

3. Return completed form to the College & Career Center. The permit is usually completed by the end of the day you turn it in.

Each Academic Program department as well as the Financial Aid team will be present to answer your questions.

Stay for the campus tour so that you can see what CDU has to offer you.

For our students interested in our Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, we will be also holding a special “On-Site Instant Admissions” event.  Bring in official copies of all of your college transcripts to be reviewed.

Check in will begin at 8:30 am and the program will start at 9:00.
